The Property Rental Option

Pay a Government contribution of €98,000

Contribute €2,000 towards NGOs.

Rent property annually for a minimum value of €10,000 (Gozo/South of Malta) or €12,000 (North of Malta) for 5 years

Contribute €7,500 for each senior dependent

Purchase health insurance covering Malta for each applicant

The Property Purchase Option

Pay a Government contribution of €68,000

Contribute €2,000 towards NGOs

Purchase property for a minimum value of €300,000 (Gozo/South of Malta) or €350,000 (North of Malta) and hold it for five years

Contribute €7,500 for each senior dependent

Purchase health insurance covering Malta for each applicant

Processing Timeline

Month 1: Prepare the application and all supporting documents

Months 4-6: Application processing, including due diligence checks and approval in principle

Months 5-7: Purchase or rent property, make contributions, and acquire health insurance

Month 7: Residency cards are issued
