Corporate social responsibility

We Are All Responsible

In our initial pursuit of enhancing our communication of responsibilities, adapting our business practices when deemed necessary, and sharing our core values, we discovered that the Harvard Business School model offered the most effective framework for aligning with our business objectives.

The triple bottom line concept proposes that businesses commit to evaluating not only their financial performance but also their social and environmental impact. This is in contrast to a sole focus on profit generation, often referred to as the traditional “bottom line.” This framework can be further dissected into three key elements: profit, people, and the planet.

At Sterling Migration, we have consciously chosen to concentrate our efforts on these three facets of corporate social responsibility. It is important to note that we do not perceive our responsibilities as a mere marketing strategy or a means of signalling virtue to others.

Our commitment to corporate social responsibility is steadfast, and we continuously assess how we can adhere to these principles and enhance them in an ever-evolving world.

Planet

In our practices, we firmly adhere to the following principles:

We refrain from:

  • Engaging in business with organisations that may, directly or indirectly, support:
    • Pornography
    • Gaming
    • Coal mining
    • Tobacco
    • Armaments
    • Unethical working practices

We consistently:

  • Opt for economy-class air travel whenever feasible.
  • Utilize electric vehicles where available.
  • Make use of public transportation whenever it is accessible.
  • Implement office waste recycling measures.
  • Collaborate with environmentally sustainable suppliers whenever possible.
  • Emphasize the environmental merits of any opportunities that may capture our clients’ interest.

People

We wholeheartedly celebrate global diversity within our team. Each member of our staff is guaranteed equal pay, conditions, and workers’ rights, irrespective of the jurisdiction in which they are employed. We have embraced the highest standards of employee rights, remuneration, and working conditions, applying them uniformly across all our offices.

Profit

Our team members take great pride in actively participating in numerous community-based initiatives. We acknowledge that acts of altruism bring about a profound sense of accomplishment, belonging, and connection to others. Over the years, we have had the privilege of speaking at various university events and providing reports on the impact of emigration on our interconnected global communities.

Our aspiration is to continue supporting charitable endeavours within our local communities through both financial contributions and volunteering for many years to come.
