Corporate social responsibility
When we first started to recognise the need to communicate our responsibilities more effectively, adapt our business accordingly where necessary and share our values, we found Harvard Business School provided the most effective model to suit our business.
The triple bottom line:
is a concept that posits firms should commit to measuring their social and environmental impact—in addition to their financial performance—rather than solely focusing on generating profit or the standard “bottom line.” It can be broken down into the “three Ps”: profit, people, and the planet.
We elected to focus on these three areas of corporate social responsibility at Sterling Migration. We do not view our responsibilities as a marketing opportunity or to virtue signal to others.
We take our corporate social responsibilities seriously and continually examine how we can adhere to and improve on them in a changing world.
Offer services or business with organisations that may support directly or indirectly:
- Coal mining
- unethical working practices
- Elect to fly economy whenever possible, use electric vehicles where possible, and use public transport if available.
- Recycle office waste and work with environmentally sustainable suppliers wherever possible.
- Highlight the environmental credentials of any opportunities our clients may be interested in pursuing.
We celebrate global diversity. Every team member is assured of equal pay, conditions and workers’ rights, regardless of the jurisdiction of their employment. We adopt the highest employee rights, pay and conditions and replicate them across our offices.
Our team enjoy taking part in multiple community-based initiatives. We recognise that any act of altruism provides a wonderful sense of achievement, belonging and connection to others.
We have enjoyed speaking at many University events and provided reports on the effects of emigration on our shared global communities.
We hope to continue supporting good causes within our local communities via our contributions and volunteering for many years.
