Introduction to the Start-Up Visa Program
Canada’s Start-Up Visa Program (SUV) presents a unique opportunity for international entrepreneurs. It’s a pathway not just to own a part of a promising start-up but also to gain Canadian Permanent Residency. This program is particularly attractive for its wide-ranging industry scope and the potential for the businesses’ international scalability.
The Essence of the Program
Central to the SUV is assembling a robust foreign executive team, potentially including candidates like you, to develop and scale these start-ups. A critical requirement of the program is obtaining a Letter of Support from a designated organisation approved by the Canadian Government, a process that the program coordinators facilitate.
Pathways Within the SUV Program
The program offers three distinct pathways for obtaining the necessary Letter of Support, each tailored to different entrepreneurial needs and objectives.
“For your peace of mind and protection, Emigrate with complete confidence.”

Our team work closely with Angels and incubators across Canada to ensure our clients’ businesses have the required endorsement to be accepted for emigration purposes.
This premium pathway targets start-ups with a potential valuation between CAD 450,000 and CAD 750,000 post-Canadian Permanent Residency acquisition. It involves collaboration with an Angel Investor and other partners, with the Angel organisation assisting the start-up. This option focuses on advanced start-ups with higher valuation prospects.
Suited for start-ups valued at less than $100k CAD, this pathway offers a more accessible entry point. It does not require working capital investment in an escrow account and involves no investment from the designated organisation. Entrepreneurs must engage in business courses via the Incubator, usually conducted online. The Incubator option also promises a faster route to Canadian Permanent Residency, albeit with a higher likelihood of peer review.
Another alternative is the Canada Start-Up Immigration Program (SUIP) Work Visa, which focuses on a temporary stay in Canada. This pathway takes approximately eight months to process and includes a discretionary work permit for the entrepreneur, open work permits for the spouse, and study visas for children, where applicable. This program leads to Canadian Permanent Residency after working in Canada’s Start-Up ecosystem for 6-12 months.
